Winter Wonderland - #14 'Setting The Table'

We had some absolutely stunning projects for our Winter Wonderland theme of 'By Candlelight' last week! Thank you to everyone who took part. I love checking out all your blogs and seeing what you create :o)

A big thank you also to Janneke who has been our fabulous Guest DT member for the last two weeks and a welcome to Ameli who is our GDT for this week. Thank you Ameli :o)

Our challenge this week at Winter Wonderland is 'Setting The Table' ...... Stamp a Serviette, Place Card and Napkin Ring - you don't have to do them all of course, but it would be great if you could have a go at one :o) Also ... don't forget, if you'd still rather make a card or other project ... that's fine too - try to incorporate our theme is some way though if you can :o)

Ok ..... this is what I have created for this week ........ :o)



Another first for me as I've never done anything like this before. Easy Peasy though and I love the idea of doing this for real at Christmas. I may even have another go at making some Crackers!!!! :o)

I have used all Stampin' Up! products this week - apart from the basic serviettes, which are from Tesco (Bargain at 74p for 50!! Really nice quality too).

All the images are from Season Of Joy stamp set. I have stamped them with Versamark and then embossed with Gold powder. I used the Scallop Edge punch to decorate the napkin ring, going over the very edge with a glue pen and then embossing this as well.

I had a little play stamping the serviette with Stampin' Up!'s Classic ink pads too. I thought the ink might run on the serviette, but it didn't at all - so you don't have to emboss if you don't want to :o)

Anyone For Anya Clallenge Blog opened its doors this week with the theme 'Sugar And Spice And All Things Nice'. I've picked The Greeting's Farm's 'Megan' for my interpretation. She looks sweet like sugar, but she's obviously sassy with attitude ... so the spice is there too :o)

Stamp With Us - Summer!!!!

I haven't published anything on my blog for a week now, but I have been creating :o) I've had a really great time this week completing some of the projects run by the fabulous ladies at Stamp With Us who have been holding their second set of on-line classes. The classes are drawing to a close now. I think there is just one more on-line live challenge session tonight and a final project issued tomorrow.

I've had a great time trying out some of their projects and thought you might like to see some of them. I can't recommend these classes enough. Hopefully they will run some more very soon!

An Award!!

I received this award last week from the amazingly talented Pascale. I feel truly honored to receive this from her. These are two of my latest cards. Both have been coloured with Promarker pens and I think they both show clearly the stage I'm at with them. I don't begin to think that I'm in anyway an expert, but I'm learning and improving all the time :o)

I love this first card. It was quite a hard one to colour, because of all the detail. Promarkers have quite a large colouring tip, so when you have tiny detail to fill it can be a challenge!




I had a real hard time selecting my next card. There are a few I really love, but picked this one in the end mainly because it's the opposite to the one above. It's a very sweet, simple design and there isn't a lot of detail to cope with. So ... two different styles .... hope you like :o)

Winter Wonderland - #11 'Twinkle Sparkle'

Another week gone ... we are getting closer and closer to the Christmas season. There's now only something like 20 weeks to go until the 'day'! I have made a card and gift bag this week. I used the Heart Bag Template from The Cutting Cafe for the bag, adapting it slightly and putting an extra flap on the top to seal the bag.
