At Winter Wonderland this week we have a theme of 'Victorian Christmas'. There is an optional challenge of 'Distressing'.
I decided to have a go at a new technique this week. I haven't tried this before, but love the look you get with it :o) The Cracked Glass technique is really simple to do. Basically it's just adding layers of embossing powder to your image and heating it up. I think I used 4 layers on this one. When you've got it thick enough, you just put it in the freezer for half an hour or so. When you take it out, it's already cracked all over the embossing. I gently cracked it a little more and rubbed some ink over the cracking and that was it :o)
The lovely jumbo wheel I've used on the base card is called 'Very Vintage'. This is one of the new products that will be available in the Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! from 1st April.
All products are from Stampin' Up!
Cardstock ......... Very Vanilla, Close To Cocoa, Creamy Caramel
Ink ............... Close To Cocoa, Creamy Caramel
Stamp Set ......... Old Fashioned Christmas, Very Vintage Wheel
Other Products .... Flat Backed Cream Pearls (from the Pretties Kit), Clear Embossing Powder
