Serene Snowflakes .............
I had another play with a couple of the new products from the Mini catalogue again today. This time I used the really lovely Serene Snowflakes stamp set. This is a four piece set costing £15.95. I used two of the stamps - one for the main image and the other to create a background. I inked them both up using the fabulous Platinum Shimmer paint. I stamped the main image twice. I cut just the middle section out of one of them and then popped this up with dimensionals over the first image. A really simple, but lovely little card :o)
The cardstock colours are Night of Navy and Bashful Blue.

Stamp With Us - Sketch Challenge
I don't know how long it's been since I did the Stamp With Us challenge! But, when I saw the sketch this morning I decided to give it a go! This 'quick' card has taken me most of the day!!! :o) Does that ever happen to you? It's changed so much from my original idea, that I keep looking at it and wondering how on earth it came about!
The sentiment is from the Wonderful Words stamp set. The papers are both from the new and very, very gorgeous Sweet Pea Paper Stack, which is out of the new Mini Catalogue. The colours are Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Taken With Teal and Rose Red ... together with a bunch of So Saffron brads :o)

A Flower For All Seasons - Class Instructions
This is what we made on Easter Monday at my stamp class. A lovely basket, together with two cards.
The basket is a really good size - ideal for holding some fabulous spring birthday pressies!
The class was built around the above cards. I was inspired by THIS gorgeous shimmery card made by the wonderful Lisa
A little bonus card to finish off .... for those faster working attendees! :o)
I watercoloured the images using the Aqua Painter and Ink Pads from Stampin' Up! But you could just as easily colour with the blender pens or just use the markers themselves :o)
The instructions are available to purchase for £3.00. If you are interested the details are below. I have written the instructions with UK metric measurements.
The main stamp set used is A Flower For All Seasons.

Bird Punch - Wedding Card
There are three new punches released this month in the new Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! These are all very different punches to the previous ones and are in a completely different style. I've used the Extra Large Bird punch to create this card, punching the main bird and the branches from the fabulous Bridesmaid papers. The main heart is from the new I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. I stamped it twice, punching out the wings from one image. The tags were stamped using the new Tiny Tags stamp set and punch out using the ... also new :o) .... medium Jewellery Tag punch. I stamped the Close to Cocoa cardstock with the Paisley background stamp .... and absolutely love this effect! All finished off with a Very Vanilla Taffeta bow :o) Gorgeous!
This card was inspired by a couple of other cards I have seen recently either on blogs or SCS. Unfortunately I can't find them now and as the images weren't watermarked I can't credit the originator. But if it's you ...... then thank you! Your cards inspired me :o)

On Reflection .........
This was my first time trying the reflection technique and for a first go, I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. I more or less followed a tutorial by Michelle Zindorf for this card. It's only the second time I've ever used a brayer, so I wasn't too sure about trying it :o)
I have used Basic Black and Mellow Moss cardstock together with Old Olive brads. The stamp sets used are Oval All for the sentiment and the super cute Fox & Friends from the newly released Mini Catalogue.

Exciting News From Stampin' Up!
Stampin' Up! have announced today that they are having a Colour Renovation!!! All the current colour families will be changing and will become 4 new fabulous collections!!! Included in there will be some of the gorgeous In Colours that the USA have had in their range over the last few years. What it means to us is that we will be keeping 25 of our current colours and getting 15 new core colours!
We will also be getting an additional 5 new In Colours each year! These In Colours will stay with us for 2 years and then they will change ..... amazing! The US have had this for years, but this is the first time for the UK :o) I'm thrilled with this news!
Here are the new colour Collections ...........
Note : Kraft hasn't gone ... it's been re-named Crumb Cake ..... yummmmm!
This chart shows you all the colours that will be retiring ........
This change is NOT going to happen immediately! It will come in when we get our new catalogue in October ...... so do not panic!!!
I am warning you now, so that you have plenty of time to stock up on any of your own favourites that will be leaving us. I have all the ink refills, pads and markers in the current colours, but I will definitely be stocking up on some of my favourite cardstock colours before they go :o)
Stampin' Up! will release more information about this change nearer the time, so as I hear it I will let you know :o)

More Gift Boxes!
My friend's daughter's birthday today! So I've made another box and card :o) Not Vintage Vogue this time, but the wonderful classic Baroque Motifs! It's been a while since I've pulled this one out, but I still love it. Hannah loves bright pink, so I've combined Pink Passion with Basic Black. To finish off, I've used the stunning 1 1/4" Basic Black striped grosgrain - all perfect for a 15 year old's birthday :o)
Have a fabulous day Hanny!

Birthday Pressie :o)
It's my friend's birthday today and this is what I have made for her. The long box houses her pressie of some of her favourite Clarins handcream :o) The other box is for the card, as it was far to bulky for an envelope.
The colour combination is beautiful. I have used Close to Cocoa with Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla cardstock, together with the new yummy Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon. The bases for the boxes have been stamped with Close to Cocoa ink - using the new Vintage Vogue stamp set from the Mini catty. The lids have been stamped with the same stamp but in Whisper White Craft ink. The gorgeous flowers have been made using the Paper Vellum. Stamped with the En Francais background stamp and then scrunched up and punched with the Scallop Circle punch. The circles were then layered up together and fixed with brads before getting a final scrunching and then carefully opened back out. Huge thanks for Jane for showing how this was done at the Reading training day!
