Welcome to the Passionates Spring/Summer Catalogue Blog Hop!
14 of the Passionettes Team have got together to put on a fabulous Blog Hop for you today. Each of us has picked a section of the new Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue and have used one or more of the Stamp Sets on those pages to create some inspirational projects for you :o) I hope you enjoy 'Hopping' around all the different blogs today and seeing the gorgeous projects that have been created for you!
The Blog Hop starts with the wonderful Vicky, so if you would like to start from the beginning and work through - just click HERE to go to her blog.
You may have come to me from Val's blog - Click HERE to return to her blog - weren't her projects beautiful?
My pages were 8/9 in the catalogue and I have picked the lovely stamp set "Just Married" for my projects.
I fell in love with the gorgeous cake image in this set as soon as I saw it! I knew it would be perfect for my 'Clean & Simple' style. Although, if you prefer things a little 'busier' - then scroll down a bit! :o)
All the images in this set have been heat embossed with the new Pool Party Embossing Powder.
A little Thank You card for the bride to send out - perhaps for the gifts they received.
The heart shape was cut using the new Hearts A Flutter framelits. I daubed Pool Party ink around the edges just to lift it a little from the background. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.
Another wedding day card, using the remaining images from the set :o)
The background uses the Wedding Words wheel and the sentiment is from Tiny Tags.
Stamp Sets: Just Married, Tiny Tags, Petite Pairs, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Wheel: Wedding Words
Colours: Pool Party, Whisper White
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones, Pool Party Seam Binding
Punches: 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, Scallop Trim Border, Small Oval
Big Shot: Hearts A Flutter Framelits, Labels Collection Framelits
Other Products: Pool Party Embossing Powder

My second project is a single Heart Easel card.
These shaped easel cards are really simple to make.
Instead of cutting a single piece of cardstock with the framelit, you cut through a folded piece of cardstock. The top of the framelit is positioned just above the fold, so it won't be cut when it's run through the Big Shot. This creates your base card. Another full framelit is cut and glued to the base card to create the front of the card.
The beautiful flowers are another new accessory from the catalogue. These come on a 2 yard strip of tulle and are Vanilla in colour. You can either cut off a few and use them as a strip or cut off individual ones to use.
I coloured mine using a solution of 70% Isopropyl (Rubbing Alcohol) together with a few drops of Primrose Petals ink and a few drops of Champagne Glimmer Paint. I just spritz'd the flowers and left them to dry. When dry, I daubed some of the petal edges with a little more Primrose Petal ink. They do have a lovely sparkle to them, but I couldn't get this to show up in the photo.
You can colour these flowers in many different ways:
- by using water instead of the Isopropyl in your spritzer. BUT - it does take longer to dry.
- place the flowers directly onto your ink pad and press them into the ink, you will get a much more intense colour. You can lighten this by spritzing with water.
- use your Aqua Painter either filled with water or Isopropyl with a few drops of ink.
- use your Stampin' Marker Pens - again this can be spritz'd with water to spread and lighten the colour.
I used one of the new Designer Builder Brads to create the 'stop' for the card. These brads are Amazing! You select what you want to go in the middle - this could be a stamped image or a little decorative paper and this is then covered with an epoxy bubble.
I punched out a little of the More Amore Designer Series Paper to go into the centre of the brad.
Stamp Sets: Just Married
Colours: Soft Suede, Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla
Paper: More Amore DSP
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Designer Builder Brads, Victoria Crochet Trim, Flower Trim
Punches: Bird Builder, Itty Bitty Circle
Big Shot: Hearts Collection Framelits
