The Technique used for this card is known by many names - 3 Step Stamping, Triple Stamping, Three Tier Stamping, Pyramid Stamping are but a few :o)
I have shown this Technique to my customers before, but the execution was different that time. Last time we used three white mats of different sizes and layered them on top of each other - smallest on top to the largest on the bottom. We then stamped randomly all over the 'pile' of them before separating them and layering each one onto it's own mat. Each section was then layered up again - smallest to largest using Dimensionals.
Well ....... on my travels around the Web I discovered another way of doing this Technique - much quicker and simpler than before.
The difference is that you only have one piece of cardstock for stamping on. Once stamped, you use your Square Framelits to divide it up into 3 sections. These are then layered onto mats and layered up for your card exactly as before. This method uses less cardstock too! :o)
Of course you don't have to use the Square Framelits if you don't want to, you can use any of the nested shape sets that Stampin' Up! sell :o)
You can find full details of how to do this on the lovely Pat Meyer's blog!
I used one of the images from the Hello Darling stamp set. It was stamped in Versamark and then Heat Embossed using Smoky Slate embossing powder.
