Festival of Trees is another new Photopolymer stamp set from the Autumn / Winter catalogue ...... and it's Fabulous! :o)
It's a Two-Step stamping set. You have a choice of five different Trees which you can then add baubles/lights or trimmings to. The set has a matching Punch and is available to buy as a Bundle, saving you 15% on the price!
Have you spotted the gorgeous charm? These are the new Snowflake embellishments ..... absolutely gorgeous! You can find them on page 22. I have attached one with a little of our White Baker's Twine - which I fixed to the back of the panel using Sticky Strip.
I stamped the Trees using Lost Lagoon ink and then over-stamped them in Versamark using the Bauble and Trimmings stamps. This I then embossed using Silver Embossing Powder.
I also embossed the edges of the white mat. I lightly ran the edge over the top of the Versamark pad and then dipped it into the embossing powder before heating. It adds another bit of subtle shine to the card :o)
The new technique used this time is Markered Frame. I saw this on Lyssa Zwolanek's blog.
All you do is use a marker to draw around the edge of an acrylic block. You can make the 'frame' as deep as you like. You then 'stamp' the block onto your card stock. I have stamped with an entire block before, but I hadn't come across using the blocks to create frames :o)
