Festival of Trees - Crafting For Beginners

Crafting from scratch can be a little scary for a beginner :o)

Several ladies have joined my Team in the last week and one of them is a brand new sparkly crafter :o)

In her Starter Kit she chose to include the Brights Collection card stock and 4 of the Brights Collection ink pads. Her chosen stamp set was the Festival of Trees and she included the matching Tree Punch.

To give her some idea of what she could create with her choices, I decided to create a couple of really simple cards that she would be able to reproduce easily and give her the confidence to experiment a little :o)

This card couldn't really be much simpler :o) I used Rich Razzleberry card for the base and cut little mats from Old Olive and Whisper White.

The White mat was stamped with the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry. The stamps are Photopolymer, so are absolutely perfect for a starter stamper - you can see exactly where you are stamping!

I stamped the chosen Tree in Old Olive ink and added the Trim using Rich Razzleberry - this I then punched out with the Tree Punch and added to the layered mats using Dimensionals.

This second card is just as easy to copy :o)

This time I used the Star stamp to randomly stamp all over the front of the Real Red base card, using the same colour ink.

The Tree was again stamped in Old Olive. I used Daffodil Delight ink to stamp the Dots and Real Red ink to stamp the Trim.

I cut a small strip of Whisper White and stamped the sentiments on to it using Old Olive ink. I then flag cut one end and glued it flat on to the card.

The Tree was raised up using Dimensionals.
