Watercolour Wings - Scrapbook Page 1

Last night was my monthly Scrapbook class and this was the first Page my ladies made.

The papers are from the English Garden DSP pack.

The Tea Lace Doily was backed with a Melon Mambo Circle. I cut off about a ⅓ rd of it and positioned the smaller section on the top of the Page and the larger section at the bottom of the contrasting strip.

I love this stamp set! The Butterflies it creates are just gorgeous and so easy to do with the Photopolymer stamps.

I stamped the solid Butterfly first using Sahara Sand ink. The centre section was stamped in Blushing Bride. The outside of the wings were stamped in Melon Mambo - but I stamped this 'off' first to get a more muted tone.

You want to stamp the body section only after you cut out the Butterfly with the framelit - otherwise it can easily be 'off' when you try to line it up with the framelit. I stamped it in Soft Suede ink.

I don't always add a Journaling section to my Pages - but this time I did :) I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to create a hidden panel that would slide under the Photo Mat.

The Button was threaded with a strand from the Jute Ribbon and tied into a Bow.
