Father Christmas

I love Traditional images for Christmas. So when I saw the new Father Christmas stamp set in the Autumn / Winter catalogue, it was a 'must have' for me :o)

The image was water coloured using our Aqua Painter and ink pads. This is always my preferred method for colouring although it takes some practice to get confident with it :o) I'm no expert, but I find the more I use this method, the happier I am with it.

I love the two part frame images you also get in the stamp set. They are beautiful and here I stamped them with Versamark before embossing them with our new Copper Embossing Powder.

I also used some of our new Copper Foil sheets. I only used one piece on this card for the layer below the Crumb Cake layer. Before adhering it in place, I cut the Scalloped Oval framelit from the centre of it. This is a great tip for making your specialty card and papers go a little further :o)
