Guy Greetings - Hats Off!

This is another of the cards my ladies created in Class last week.

I used a couple more designs from The True Gentleman paper pack. I cut these carefully, making sure that the designs were centred on each of the panels used.

I used the Hat stamp on the Tranquil Tide background layer, stamping it with the same coloured ink. I used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig for this because I wanted all the different hats going down the page, with no two alike next to each other. If you have the Photopolymer version of this stamp set, you wouldn't need to use this as it's easy to see where to place the image each time.

I stamped the Hats onto the Oval panel first using Tranquil Tide ink and then stamped them again onto scrap Vanilla card using Night of Navy. I cut three of the Navy ones out by hand and used Dimensionals to layer these on top of the first set.

Guy Greetings - Fill Your Shoes

For this month's project class I really wanted to make some masculine cards. I chose to use the Guy Greetings stamp set together with the True Gentlement Designer Series Paper pack.

I love the mix of colours in these papers, they really are a great combination!

All the cards in the class are super easy, but each contains an element of fussy cutting, so that slowed my ladies pace a little :o)

The plaid paper used on this first card is gorgeous and is my favourite design out of the whole pack.

Flying Home - Birthday

Today's card uses the third and last large image from the Flying Home stamp set.

I coloured the image using my Stampin' Blends Alcohol markers.

I used the Pool Party combo for the Birds with a little Dark Daffodil Delight for the Beaks. The leaves are Old Olive. The Branch is coloured using the Bronze and the Dark Crumb Cake.

I used three Blends for the Nest, the Dark and Light Crumb Cake and the Ivory.

The Flying Home set doesn't contain any sentiments, so I pinched one from the Birthday Banners set. The frame is from the Number of Years set and I cut it out with the coordinating framelit from the Large Numbers die set.
