Video Tutorial - Birthday Blossoms

Good Morning! I have a Video Tutorial for you today - showing you how I created this lovely card using the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.

I really enjoyed creating this card. It was going to be a little different! I fully intended to make a Shaker card .... but somehow this is how it ended up :o)

The colours used on this one are Berry Burst, Crushed Curry and Garden Green, together with lots of Gold Embossing.

I used some of the Thick Whisper White card for the flowers and leaves hoping that it would watercolour a little better .... and it did, but I still had to be very careful with the amount of water I used.

For the Video I switched up the colours and also used some of our Watercolour card .....

The base card is Marina Mist and is ½ an A4 standard sheet of card (US 8½” x 11"), scored and folded to create a portrait card.

The Silver Foil mat is 14.4cm x 10cm (US 5¼” x 4").

The inside Whisper White mat is also 14.4cm x 10cm (US 5¼” x 4").

The Whisper White mat on the front of the card is 13.9cm x 9.5cm (US 5" x 3¾” ).

The Whisper White sentiment strip is 8cm x 1.5cm (US 3⅛" x ⅝")

You will also need some Watercolour card for the flowers and leaves.

This is the card I created in the Video.

The colours used here are Marina Mist, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and a little Crushed Curry. Everything was heat embossed using Silver powder.

The Watercolour card helps gives a much more blended result and you don't have to worry about the amount of water you use :o)

And .... both cards together. I think I still prefer the Berry Burst version, but only because I like Bright colours so much :o)

  1. Beautiful cards! I love both of them equally, the bright red is wonderful but the subtle blue is so pretty!
