Very Vintage - 2 for 1

Good Morning :o)

Today, I have two cards to share with you - both with a 'Vintage' look and feel.

Now 'Vintage' is not a style that I'm comfortable with .... at all. I love it when others do it .... but it's just not my 'thing' and does not come naturally to me :o)

The stamp set used is a new Hostess set - Very Vintage. It's beautiful, with lovely images and sentiments. Its very name told me the style needed for my card :o)

This is version number one. I like it, it's still very 'clean' but as soon as I finished it I knew it was missing some texture. I knew if I'd used the Subtle embossing folder on the stamped panel, it would have been perfect for me.

I was going to leave it there, but it was early in the day and I decided to give it another go :o)

As you can see, I didn't stop with just embossing the panel - I did a little tearing too! And .... some grunging!

I like this one too, BUT why didn't I just do what I set out to do and stop there? I'm just stopping myself now from doing a third version! I really hate to create multiples of anything, so I'm torn .... a bit like the corners on this card! :o)

So for today, I have two cards for you. Similar, but different.

The Flowers and Bee were very lightly watercoloured using an Aqua Pen and the ink pads. I really love how they came out on both cards. It gives the images a beautiful soft look.

So what do you think? Do you like either? Which do you prefer? Please leave me a comment below ....
