Bokeh Dots - Background Technique Video

Good Morning! I have another Video Tutorial for you today showing you how I created this background using the Bokeh Dots stamp set.

The card on the right is the one I create in the video. Both of these cards use the same colours of ink - but you will get different results each time. 

This card also used the same colours of ink as those above but this time I used the other stamp in the Bokeh Dots set for the background. I wish now that I had tried this stamp first! I love the effect you get with the cutout stars, it's just so pretty!

I really enjoyed this background technique ... so I tried a few other colour combinations. 

This one uses colours from the Neutrals Collection. Crumb Cake was my background colour and then I used Night of Navy, Merry Merlot and Mossy Meadow for the sponging. 

I admit this one isn't my favourite. I think the colours are a little dark - perhaps if I had embossed the black image it would have stood out a little more. 

Next was the Brights Collection and started with a very light covering of Daffodil Delight followed by Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo.

My final card uses colours (mostly) from the Regals Collection.

I started with Crushed Curry and then used Garden Green and Cajun Craze. I also used Mango Melody but didn't realise until later that this isn't actually in the Regals family! :o) Ooops! I'm still getting used to all the new colours!

Basic Black card base                        ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

Twinkle Twinkle DSP                         14.4cm x 10cm    (US 5¼” x 4")

Whisper White mat                           14.4cm x 10cm    (US 5¼” x 4")

Whisper White (for stamping)

Cut down to  (approx.)                       9.8cm x 7cm       (US 3⅞” x 2¾”) 

Basic Black                                         10.2cm x 7.4cm     (US 4" x 2⅞” )
