Welcome to this month's What's New at Stampin' Up!? Blog Hop!
We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who have got together to create this inspiring Blog Hop for you.
This month we are sharing projects which use some of the new products coming your way in the Autumn / Winter catalogue. This catalogue will be released on Wednesday 5th September - so only a couple of days to wait now :o)
I chose the Beautiful Blizzard bundle for my card ....
I love Navy, White and Silver together so that was the colour combination I chose.
I used Gray Granite to stamp the background 'Blizzard' - but stamped it 'off' first, so it wasn't too dark. I then stamped the small snowflakes using Versamark ink and heat embossed them with Silver powder.
I used the co-ordinating Blizzard die to cut the snowflakes. This die comes in one piece and contains lots of different sizes and shapes of snowflakes. I added some of our Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back of the card before cutting it, so I wouldn't have to try to add glue to the tiny sections once cut. The Snowflakes were added flat to the card.
This die measures 5" x 4" and I was hoping it would be sized to fit a full card front - maybe with some layering. It is, but this is more for the US market's card size and not so much for our European card size. Watch this space though, because I have some ideas to try to make it work a little better for us :o)
Of course, I used the Stitched Shapes and Layering Ovals framelits for the sentiment mats :o)
