I have a Video Tutorial for you today. This one shows you how to do the Stained Glass Technique but instead of Vellum, I'm using Acetate and Glimmer paper.
I absolutely love this Technique - so much so I've made quite a few cards using it, some of which I'll show you over the next couple of weeks.
I've fallen in love with this Rooster from the Home to Roost Sale-a-Bration stamp set, so I had to use him again for today's card :o)
You can cut around the image if you like, so you only have the Glimmer showing through the actual image and not all around too - both methods look great :o)
You can see the sparkle a little better in this photo. Isn't it pretty?
Here is my video ....
Measurements
Basic Black card base ½ an A4 standard sheet of card
(US 8½" x 11")
Whisper White mat 14.4cm x 10cm (US 5¼" x 4")
for inside the card
Coastal Cabana 14.4cm x 10cm (US 5¼" x 4")
Neutrals (Crumb Cake) DSP 14.4cm x 4cm (US 5¼" x 1½" )
Acetate 8cm x 8cm (US 3" x 3" )
Sparkle Glimmer 8cm x 8cm (US 3" x 3" )
Lovely Lipstick ⅛" Ribbon 16.5cm (US 6¼")
You will also need a little Whisper White card for the sentiment and some scrap Crumb Cake and Lovely Lipstick card.
If you are decorating the inside of the card as I did, you will also need another strip of Designer Series Paper and some Costal Cabana card.
