Cute Treat Holder using Animal Expedition - Video Tutorial

Today's Video Tutorial shows you how to make these super cute Treat Holders.

I really love these! They are short and dumpy, but large enough to hold a small chocolate egg - like the Cadbury's Creme Eggs and this is what I sized them for. However, you could fill them with whatever chocolate or sweet treats you like :o)

There are so many different things you could use these for. These two would be perfect as little Party Favours for a Childs Birthday Party.

They could be little 'Thank You' gifts for anything really. They could be used as Wedding Favours or Place Setting gifts at a Dinner Party.

You could decorate them in so many different ways to suit whatever need you had for them :o)

The above photo shows the two I created using the All My Love Designer Series papers. I decorated them using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

I used the Petal Palette stamp set and coordinating Petals & More dies to decorate this one.

These two are a little different to the others.

The one on the right stands just a little taller than the other ones. This is because I made the tray inside narrower (see below for details). This made the Treat Holder less dumpy and it stands taller.

The one of the left is a lot taller. I used the narrower tray again but I also scored the Oval in a different place.

It's easy to adjust these Holders to suit your needs. I explain how in the Video and it's really simple to do.

This is the one I created in the tutorial ... here is the Video ....

Measurements

Crumb Cake                 3⅞"  x  2⅜"     (10cm  x  6cm)

(The LONG side is scored at 1¼" (3.2cm) from each edge and the SHORT side is scored at ½" (1.3cm) from each edge).

With the LONG side across the top, score down at:

1¼"  and  2⅝"     (3.2cm  and 6.8cm)

With the SHORT side across the top, score down at:

½"  and  1⅞"     (1.3cm  and 4.7cm)

The Ovals are scored at 2⅝"     (6.8cm)

You will also need some more Crumb Cake and Call Me Clover cardstock and some of the Animal Expedition papers for stamping, punching and die cutting.

Adjusting the size:

If you do not need such a wide tray to contain the treats, you can make it narrower e.g. instead of 2⅜" (6cm) make it 2" (5.2cm).

You can also make the holder taller by scoring the Ovals lower down. E.g. instead of 2⅝" (6.8cm) score them at 3" (7.6cm).

All the scoring stays exactly the same as above in that the LONG side is scored at 1¼" (3.2cm) from each edge and the SHORT side is scored at ½" (1.3cm) from each edge.
