Box to hold a Standard Card - using Daisy Lane - Video Tutorial

Have you ever created a beautiful card .... maybe a fancy fold, or a card with many layers and dimension .... and you didn't want to crush it inside an envelope? Well .... why not create a box to put it in instead? Today's Video shows you how :o)

This Box was designed to hold a standard sized card .... one created using half a sheet of cardstock - either A4 or 8½" x 11" - I give you the sizes for both :o)

I created the Box to hold the card I created HERE. It's quick and simple to create and you could decorate it to match your own card.

I used the lovely Daisy Lane stamp set with the coordinating punches and a couple of my favourite embossing folders to decorate mine.

Here is the Video ...

Measurements

Note: Generally when I use the Simply Score Board I work in inches. I tend to switch to metric once I start decorating and adding layers. This is because I use A4 cardstock and it's just easier for me to work with centimetres. Where possible I will always try to give measurements in inches throughout for those working with 8½" x 11" cardstock.

Old Olive  (Base)
7½"  x  5¾"                        (US 7⅛"  x  5⅞")

Old Olive  (Lid)                            7 9/16"  x  5 13/16"         (US 7 3/16"  x  5 15/16")

Score both pieces at ¾"  on all sides.

Pumpkin Pie                               14.8cm  x  10.5cm             (US 5½"  x  4¼")

Old Olive                                    14.8cm  x  5.4cm               (US 5½"  x  2")

Whisper White                           14.8cm  x  5cm                  (US 5½"  x  2")

You will also need more Whisper White cardstock for the stamping.
