In today's Video I show you how to create these 6" square cards using the Above The Clouds stamp set and coordinating punch.
I also show you how to create the fabulous 3D Hot Air Balloon!
Another thing I show you in the Video is how to create a 6" square card even if you haven't got any 12" cardstock to use :o)
This was my 'test' card :o) I was really happy with how it turned out, so didn't actually change it much when I did the Video.
The papers are all from the Bird Ballad 12" Designer Series Paper pack and I took the colour scheme from them.
I didn't used any of the sentiments from the Above the Clouds set because I needed something smaller to fit on my punched panel. Instead I used a sentiment from the Free As A Bird set.
I changed up the papers for this second card using the 6" Subtles paper stack. I did keep with the colour scheme from the Bird Ballad papers though.
It's quite a simple card really. I embossed the stamped panel using the Subtles Folder ... this is still my favourite folder!
This time I chose a more generic sentiment from the A Good Man stamp set and I kept with this one for my Video card too.
This is the card I created in the Video. The stamped panel is lightly sponged with Pool Party ink but the areas around the sets of little Balloons are left white. I thought this gave the feeling of a light cloudy sky :o) Again, I used the Bird Ballad papers for this one.
The main difference between this one and my 'test' card is that I changed the sentiment but also added an extra panel in my Hot Air Balloon. This makes it a little fuller but also enables it to fold down flatter. If you wanted to, you could fit this one inside an envelope.
I used the Story Label punch for the sentiment mats. If you haven't got this one you could use any of the Label punches or even the Tailored Tag punch.
