Perfectly Plaid - Clean and Simple

I wanted to have another little play with my Perfectly Plaid stamp set and this is what I came up with :o)

This was the first card I designed. I wanted it to be Clean and Simple and I wanted to use Very Vanilla card - I never use Very Vanilla card and I have masses of it :o)

I started by stamping the little Tree in Shaded Spruce ink ... which is gorgeous by the way - and then stamped the Trunk using Soft Suede ink.

It needed a little more, so I added one of the Copper Star Designer Elements. I then decided to add a little yellow 'glow' behind the Star, so using a sponge dauber applied a little So Saffron ink underneath it.

The sentiment was stamped using the Delicata Celestial Copper ink and heat embossed using Copper powder.

I added a Copper Foil layer under the Vanilla panel before adding it to a Shaded Spruce card base.

This is my 'stepped up' version of the first card. The layout and colours are basically the same, but there's much more to it.

This time I stamped the Tree onto scrap Very Vanilla card and cut it out using one of the Square Stitched Shapes dies. I added it to a Copper Foil mat and used Dimensionals to raise it up.

The paper also has a Copper mat. It comes from the Regals 6" paper stack.

The Vanilla background layer was embossed using the Swirls & Curls folder.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto scrap Very Vanilla and cut it out using one of the Rectangle Stitched dies. I had to extend the length of the one I used by partial cutting on the Big Shot. I added another Copper mat underneath and again used Dimensionals.
