Shaped Gate Fold Card - using Good Morning Magnolia - Video Tutorial

I have a really beautiful card to share with you today. I loved creating these ... so much so that I made four! I've created a Video showing you how I did them and you will find that below :o)

I used the Magnolia Blooms stamp set for the sentiment and the Good Morning Magnolia set for the images.

This was my trial card. I used Pretty Peacock for the base and Rococo Rose for the Belly Band and the Flower.

The leaves were coloured with Mossy Meadow.

The top and bottom edges on all the cards were cut using one of the dies from the coordinating Magnolia Memory die set. This gives the cards a wonderful shape ... helping to make them very special :o)

This is the card I created in the Video. I reversed the colours for this one using Rococo Rose for the base and Pretty Peacock for the Belly Band.

The papers are from the 2019 - 2021 In Colour 6" paper pack.

I stamped the inside flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The papers used for the next two cards come from the (now retired) Gingham Gala 6" paper pack. I have so much retired paper leftover and am trying to use some of it up :o)

The colours here are Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather.

The main image was stamped using Versamark ink onto Cardstock Vellum and then heat embossed with White powder. I coloured the images on the reverse using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The leaves for three of the cards were coloured using Granny Apple Green. I used Soft Suede for all of the stems and Pumpkin Pie for the flower centres on all apart from the final card, where I used Mango Melody.

I changed the inside for these last two cards and used the lovely Border stamp from the Good Morning Magnolia set. I think both ways look really good ... although this was quicker to do than colouring the flowers :o)

Now then .... this final card is just a little different to all my others :o) Obviously, I used different colours ... Calypso Coral and Balmy Blue.

Can you spot the difference? This card was created using 8½" x 11" card - well half a sheet of it anyway.

It's shorter than the others and just a little wider. I wanted to check my measurements for my US and Canadian viewers and instead of creating one from 'scraps' this time I did a 'proper job' :o) It's a super cute size once the edges are shaped!

I used one of the Stitched Shapes Circle dies for the white layer under the main Flower and embossed it using the Country Floral embossing folder. Oh, My Word .... this folder is amazingly gorgeous! This was my first time using it ... but it definitely won't be the last! Once you've added the Flower, you can't see much of the embossing though - I just wanted a little texture on the areas that do show and didn't want to use the Subtle folder ... again! :o)

Here is the Video ...
