Honey Bee - Tunnel Spinner Card - Video Tutorial

Hi There! :o)

In today's Video I show you how I created these fabulous cards! I used the Honey Bee stamp set and coordinating Detailed Bee dies.

I also used the Golden Honey Designer Series paper. This is one of the free items you can choose with a qualifying purchase during our current Sale-a-Bration promotion. You can find full details about this promotion by clicking on the Current Promotions tab at this top of this Blog.

I love these cards! When I saw the Honey Bee stamp set I had lots of ideas of how I could use it. I've shown you a couple of them already and this was another :o)

I kept the front of the card fairly simple - there is so much going on inside!

I used the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to colour all the Bees in the paper panel.

The Bee Hive was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink an then overstamped with Versamark ink before embossing with Clear powder - I used the Stamparatus for this.

Here are the insides of both cards together ... the only difference between them is the paper design I used. I love the Gold stripes but you can see where I added the glue on the reverse through them. In real life this isn't as noticeable, they show up more in the photos - but I didn't like it. So for the card I created in the Video, I change the design.  If I had realised at the time I would have only added the glue to the reverse of the Black lines - which is one way to avoid it - alternatively, you could use tape adhesive instead.

The lovely large Daisy is created using the Daisy Lane stamp set and coordinating Daisy punches. I created four layers - two with the medium Daisy and two with the large.

I added one of our Designer Elements in Antique Gold to the centre of the flower.

The centre Bee is on plastic thread. Before adding the card to an envelope or box, you can wind the Bee up. Then when the recipient removes the card and opens it, the Bee will spin!

I added a panel on the back where you can write your message.

Even though the cards are bulky they will fit inside standard C6 envelopes. I do prefer to create Boxes though and this is the one I made. Again, I kept it pretty simple for the decoration. This time I coloured the Bees using the dark Basic Black Blends marker.

I do have a Video showing you how to make this size Box - you can find it HERE.

Here is the Video for the card ... It's full of different tips and techniques! :o)
