Little Ladybug - Ladybug Frame Card - Video Tutorial

I have such fun cards to share with you today! I really enjoyed making these :o)

Each card has a Little Ladybug frame ... they are just adorable! I love this sentiment with the Ladybug image used too ... so cute!

Now, this wasn't my first attempt! Or my second! I wasn't sure how I wanted the space in the centre of the frame layered, so didn't know what size frame to create initially. But after a little bit of playing ... almost a day ... this is what I came up with. 

I did use my Stamp-a-ma-Jig initially (now retired) but I soon discovered that you could create the frame with the Stamparatus and this is how I do it in the Video (below).

I wasn't sure about the colouring of the Ladybugs. Most people seem to leave the faces white - but that doesn't look quite right to me, so I coloured them using the Dark Smoky Slate Blends alcohol marker.

The Flower on this card was coloured with the Daffodil Delight Blends markers. I couldn't use them for the card in the Video because mine are almost out and I haven't re-ordered yet, so I chose Mango Melody instead.

This is the card I created in the Video. The background paper for both cards comes from the Regals 6" paper stack and it's in Real Red to match the Ladybugs.

The card layout is very simple - I didn't think you needed much else with this cute frame :o)

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

         

Basic Black card base                                ½ an A4 standard sheet of card          

                                                                                                  (US 8½”x 11”)

Whisper White (inside)                             14.4cm x 10cm    (US 5¼” x 4”)

Real Red                                                      14.4cm x 10cm   (US 5¼” x 4”) 

Regals Real Red DSP                                 14cm x 9.6cm      (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”)

Basic Black (for layering image panel)      9.5cm x 6.5cm    (US 3¾” x 2 9/16”) approx

Whisper White (for stamping frame)       14.4cm x 10cm   (US 5½” x 4”) approx

You will need additional White card for stamping and die cutting and Basic Black card to create a mat for the frame.
