Stampin Friends Blog Hop - Favourites

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop!

This month's theme is Favourites. So our projects are all completed using some of our favourite products or tools.

If you are following along with the Hop, you have arrived from Jo Blackman's Blog.

Be sure to read through my post, comment below and then continue on to Jean Bolen Beaulieu's  Blog.

If you get lost along the way, you can find a full list of all the participants at the end of each of their Blog Posts.

Here are the projects I created for this month's Hop ...

I used the gorgeous Painted Poppies stamp set and coordinating Painted Labels dies to create a Gift Box and matching card.

I don't really have favourite stamp sets. My favourite tends to be the one I am currently playing with ... which is Painted Poppies at the moment :o)

I used my favourite embossing folder on the sentiment panels - this is the Subtle 3D folder. I've used this one more than any other I've ever owned. I love it. It adds a subtle texture which I love.

The Gift Box is 4¾” wide, 3¼” deep and 4" tall. I created it to hold a special Mug for a friend :o)

There is a Video below showing you how I created this Gift Box.

Of course, I also needed a card to go with it and this is what I came up with.

The Peaceful Poppies papers are absolutely gorgeous and I am loving playing with them!

I used some of the Peaceful Poppies sequins to decorate both the Box and the card. The Black Twine comes from the Country Club Twine Combo pack.

My card base is in Basic Black, this has to be my favourite because I use it for my card bases so often :o) My favourite colour is actually yellow, but I think I'd struggle using that for all my card bases - Black works with everything :o)

I also decorated the inside of the card.

The Black ink I used throughout these projects was Versafine Onyx Black. This is my favourite Black ink. It's an intense black colour and doesn't dry immediately, so you can emboss with it. Alternatively, you could stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and overstamp with Versamark ink before embossing with Clear powder. The Clear powder is another of my favourites. I love that you can use it over any colour and it adds dimension and shine.

Another favourite product I used throughout these two projects is the Tombo Mono Multipurpose glue. I've been using this for almost 11 years now and it's always my go to adhesive of choice :o)

Here is the Video for the Gift Box ...
