Stampin Friends Blog Hop - Babies

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop!

This month's theme is quite a broad one - Congrats, Grads Brides and Babies. I chose Babies for my projects this month.

If you are following along with the Hop, you would have arrived from Rachel's Blog

Be sure to read through my post, comment below and then continue on to Katja's Blog

If you get lost along the way, you can find a full list of all the participants at the end of each of their Blog Posts.

Here are the projects I created for this month's Hop ...

I used the wonderful Fable Friends stamp set together with the Stitched So Sweetly dies and created a small Gift Box and coordinating card. Well ... I actually created three of each! :o)

You can find a Video below showing you how I created them.

The Gift Box is 3⅞" deep x 2¾" wide x 1" tall. It would be perfect for any small gift for a new baby - Booties, Scratch Mits or something like a Silver Spoon.

I used the largest of the Stitched So Sweetly rectangle dies to create these.

The papers used for all of these cards come from the Gingham Gala 6" paper pack (retired). I am trying to use up some of my retired stock and these papers were perfect for this project. You could get a similar look though if you used the Gingham from the current Colour Collection 6" paper packs.

All the images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The main colour used for this first set is Daffodil Delight. The ribbon is from the Spring / Summer Mini catalogue - our Ruched Ribbon in Daffodil Delight.

The papers used for this second set are in Lemon Lime Twist but I paired it with Granny Apple Green for the background mat and the colouring.

The Ribbon is our Black Glittered Organdy from the Annual catalogue.

This is the set I created in the Video.

The papers are in Highland Heather as is the colouring but the cardstock used is Gorgeous Grape.

The Ribbon is from our Organdy Ribbon Combo pack (retired). You could use any Black or White ribbon instead or we have some lovely Purple Tricoloured Ribbon in the Annual catalogue that would work well too.

Here is the Video ...

I have always loved the organdy ribbon and gingham combination. Super cute projects! As soon as I saw the Stitched So Sweetly dies in the Mini Catalog, I knew they would be my first purchase!
