Breathtaking Bouquet - Watercolouring On Coloured Card

Good Morning :o)

I've used the lovely Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp again today. This time I've watercoloured the image on to coloured cardstock.

I kept the layout simple because I wanted as much of this beautiful image to show - in fact the layout is the same as the cards I created last week with this stamp, although the products are different :o) You can see those HERE.

The technique is pretty simple. You would first stamp your image and emboss it if you wish to. I heat embossed with White powder on to Sahara Sand cardstock.

You then need to add a layer of White pigment ink - I used our Whisper White Craft ink. This will cover your image with an opaque white layer. I applied this with one of our Aqua Painters, adding just a little water to it first. You then need to leave this to dry - or dry it with your Heat Tool. Then you can watercolour as normal.

Watercolouring will reactivate the pigment ink a little so your colours will be a little more muted, but will still look glorious :o)

I used many colours for this card including three different greens for all the leaves. The Flowers were coloured using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry, Highland Heather and Flirty Flamingo with a little Soft Suede.

The sentiment is one I had left over from my previous cards and comes from the Label Me Bold stamp set. I stamped this with Versafine Onyx Black ink and Heat Embossed it with Clear powder.
