Piece Of Cake - Masculine Birthday Card - Video Tutorial

Today's Video uses the Piece of Cake stamp set and coordinating Cake Builder punch. Sadly these products are retiring at the end of this month.

I'm always low on Masculine Birthday Cards so thought I would create some this time :o)

All the cards have a very simple layout. This was the first card I created and didn't really like the size of the aperture - I thought it was a little large. So I used smaller dies to create it on all the other cards.

The paper is from the Country Club 12" Designer Series paper pack.

Of course, the cards don't have to be masculine. Change the colours and the papers and you can easily create more feminine looks.

The main colours here are Lovely Lipstick and Daffodil Delight. The papers are from the Best Dressed 6" paper pack.

I used paper from the Country Club 12" pack again for these cards. Your contrast colour could be almost anything you like, so many colours would go with the grey :o)

I used Pumpkin Pie for this first card. All the images were coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

This is the card I created in the Video. I used Cherry Cobbler this time.

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

         

Basic Black card base                              ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

(US 8½”x 11”)   

Whisper White (inside)                            14.4cm x 10cm   (US 5¼” x 4”)

Smoky Slate                                            14.1cm x 9.8cm  (US 5¼” x 4”) 

Country Club DSP                                   13.8cm x 9.5cm  (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”)

You will need extra Whisper White card for stamping and punching and Basic Black for die-cutting.
