Borders Abound - With The Peony Dies - Video Tutorial

In today's Video I show you how I created these cards. I used the Borders Abound stamp set together with the Peony dies.

This first card is in So Saffron. The paper is from our now retired Subtles 6" Designer Series Paper stack of a year or so ago. The designs within this paper pack have now been changed ... I'm still trying to use my old ones up :o)

The large flower was created using the beautiful Peony dies. I created this one a little differently to my previous Video using these dies. This time I added dimensionals between the layers to give the flower lots of dimension.

This is the card I created in the Video. I used Magenta Madness ... and it's bright! I'm not yet sure how I feel about this colour - I love bright colours BUT this one is definitely outside my comfort zone :o)

I used a Wreath Building Template to create the Floral Frame on the card. If you would like to see how I made mine, the details are HERE.

Note: You can follow either metric or imperial for this project – the results will be the same 

                                                                            

Basic Black card base                              30.5cm x 15.2cm         (12” x 6”)     

          (Or join 2 pieces of card together to create this 6½” x 6” and 6” x 6”)

Whisper White - inside                           14.6cm x 14.6cm        (5¾”x 5¾”)

Magenta Madness DSP                           15cm x 15cm              (5⅞”x 5⅞”)

Basic Black                                               13cm x 13cm               (5⅛” x 5⅛”)

Whisper White                                        12.7cm x 12.7cm         (5” x 5”)

Basic Black                                               9.5cm x 9.5cm             (3¾” x 3¾”)

Magenta Madness DSP                          9.2cm x 9.2cm             (3⅝” x 3⅝”)

You will also need additional Whisper White, Basic Black, Mango Melody, Just Jade and Shaded Spruce card to complete the project.
