Stampin Friends Blog Hop - Thanks / Thankful

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop for October!

This month's theme is all about Thanks. I chose to make a Gift Bag and a Card using the Boho Indigo Product Medley Kit.

If you are following along with the Hop, you may have arrived from Jo's Blog.

Be sure to read through my post, comment below and then continue on to Kim's Blog.

If you get lost along the way, you can find a full list of all the participants at the end of each of their Blog Posts.

Here are the projects I created for this month's Hop ...

I used one of my Masking Templates to create the background panels for both the Bag and the Card, together with one of our Basic Pattern Decorative Masks.

You can find out how I created my Masking Templates HERE and you can find a Video below showing you how I created these panels and the card.

If you are interested in seeing how the Gift Bag is made, you can find a Video HERE.

The Gift Bag measures 3½” wide, 6½” tall and 2" deep - big enough for a little 'Thank You' gift or some Sweet Treats.

The front panel was created in exactly the same way as I show you for the card and I used the same size panel initially, cutting it down to fit the front of the Bag later.

The Ribbon is Real Red Stitched Satin - now retired.

The Boho Indigo stamp set contains three different Vase images and I wanted to create cards for each - the contrast colours are different for all of them.

I used Pool Party ink for the background panel for this one and So Saffron for the Flowers.

Both the Vase and Flowers were cut out using the coordinating Boho Indigo dies.

I used Coastal Cabana ink for the background panel this time. The Flowers are in Rich Razzleberry.

All the card bases are in Night of Navy and I stamped the sentiment with this colour too.

This is the card you see created in the Video.

The background was in Balmy Blue and the Flowers Real Red.

Here is the Video ...

I love the use of the stencil on these Teri! It creates such a nice soft background to anchor the vases to.

Very, lovely! The Bohemian set is on my wish list for sure. I had forgotten about using those masking mats for background. Thanks for the reminder!

Teri, I LOVE how you used the Boho Indigo Medley with this fabulous color combo. Talk about another way to look at a stamp set. The masked background is such a perfect touch, too. Gorgeous!
