Whale Done - Fancy Fold - Book Fold for a Standard Size Card - Video Tutorial

Today's Video will show you how to create a Fancy Fold card. 

I used the Whale Done stamp set together with the Whale of a Time 6" Designer Series Paper pack.

You can see the Fancy Fold when you open the card. It's called a Book Fold card. 

The measurements I give you are for both A4 and 8½” x 11" users.

All the Turtles used to decorate the card were hand-cut from the papers.

The finished card is a little bulky due to all the layers. It will fit easily into a standard size envelope, but I would make a box to hold it. You can find a Video showing you how to make one in the correct size - HERE.

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 is your standard size card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” is your standard size card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

 

 

Calypso Coral card base                          ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

                                                                                                 (US 8½”x 11”) 

 

 

 

Pretty Peacock                                          21cm x 14cm       (US 8½” x 5⅜”)

 

 

With the SHORT side across the top, line each SIDE EDGE up at 2.5cm (US 1”)

 

         CUT from                                         2.5cm to 18.5cm   (US 1” to 7½”)

 

With the LONG side across the top:

 

         SCORE between the CUT LINES at 2.5cm and 5cm      (US 1” and 2”)

 

         SCORE all the way down at           10.5cm             (US 4¼”)

 

         SCORE from the OUTSIDE EDGES to the CUT LINES at 

                                                                   6.5cm               (US 2⅝”)

 

Front Mats:

 

Pretty Peacock                                         14.1cm x 9.8cm  (US 5¼” x 4”)

Whale of a Time DSP                              13.8cm x 9.5cm  (US 5⅛”x 3⅞”)

 

Inside Mats: 

 

Calypso Coral x 2                                     8.6cm x 5.3cm    (US 3¼” x 2⅛”)

Whisper White x 2                                   8.3cm x 5cm       (US 3⅛” x 2”)

 

Whale of a Time DSP x 2                        8.7cm x 2.2cm    (US 3¼” x ⅞”)

Whale of a Time DSP x 4                        3.7cm x 2.2cm    (US 1½” x ⅞”)

 

 

Whale of a Time DSP x 2                        13.cm x 6.2cm    (US 5¼” x 2½”)

 

With the LONG side across the top, line each SIDE EDGE up at 2.2cm (US ⅞”) 

 

         CUTdown to 3.9cm (US 1⅝”)

 

With the SHORT side across the top, line the RIGHT SIDE EDGE up at 2.2cm (US ⅞”)

 

         CUT from 2.2cm to 11.5cm (US ⅞” to 4⅜”) …. (i.e. Between the cut lines)

 

 

 

You will need extra Whisper White and Calypso Coral card to complete the project.
