Way To Goat - Male Birthday

I have been gradually building up a stock of Male Birthday Cards ready to use next year - I've got quite a pile of them now :o)

This is my latest. I used the Way To Goat stamp set for the image and the Special Someone stamp set for the sentiment.

It's such a simple design. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I used mainly Crumb Cake but added a little Ivory for the horns and Soft Suede for the Hooves. The Flower was coloured using Soft Sea Foam.

The paper is from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper pack.

The dies used to cut the image mats are from the Hippo & Friends set. This is an amazing set not only for the outline dies that coordinate with the Hippo Happiness stamp set, but also included are 10 additional dies for creating beautifully shaped mats.

Geared Up Garage - Masculine Birthday

Geared Up Garage is one of the stamp sets that I haven't used that much. So I decided to have a play with it and create some projects for men. You've already seen the cards I designed for Monday's post and here is another one :o)

The layout is again very simple. 

The car was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

I used the last of my Galvanised Metal sheets for this card - but you could replace this with Silver Foil. I can't tell you how satisfying it was to actually use something up! I need to do this more! :o)

The background was stamped using the Birch stamp - I stamped this 'off' once before using it on the panel.

Poinsettia Place - Fold Flat Gift Bag (12"x12"x3") - Video Tutorial

In today's Video I show you how I created this really large Gift Bag!

It measures 12" tall, 12" wide and 3" deep. I also talk you through how to increase the depth of the bag if you want to - it's really easy :o)

I used the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper for this one. You need two full sheets of it. 

The sentiment on the Tag is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. I used dies from the Celebration Labels set to create it - together with the Sprig Punch.

The Gift Bag folds flat so you can create lots in advance and pull them out when needed. 

Of course, they don't only have to be for Christmas ... 

Here is one I created using papers from our retired All My Love DSP pack. The sentiment is from the Borders Abound stamp set.

Measurements

Poinsettia Place DSP    - FRONT & BACK x2         12” x 12”

 

Score 1 piece at 1½” (ensure that this score is towards the bottom of the piece)

 

 

Soft Suede          - SIDES x2                                     12” x 4”

 

With the SHORT side across the TOP, score down at ½” and 3½”

With the LONG side across the TOP, score down 1½”

With the SHORT side across the TOP, score down at 2” to the 1½” score line

Don’t forget to score the TRIANGLE sections at the bottom

 

 

Soft Suede - BASE                                                    12” x 4”

 

With the SHORT side across the TOP, score down at ½” and 3½”

 

 

Soft Suede – TABS x2                                               3” x 1”

 

With the SHORT side across the TOP, score down at ½”

 

 

Soft Suede Handles/Decorative Strips x4           12” x 1”

Ribbon approx.                                                          25”

 

         

You will need extra Whisper White, Bumblebee, Garden Green and Soft Suede card and Poinsettia Place DSP to complete this project.
