Snowman Season - 6" Square Display Card - Video Tutorial

I have another Fancy Fold card to share with you today. This is a 6" Square Display card.

I used the wonderful Snowman Season stamp set for these. I'm so pleased this set carried over for a second year!

I used Night of Navy for the card base on this first one.

The papers are all from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper pack - another carry over from last year :o)

When closed the card measures 6" square. When fully open it's approximately 10" long.

Although the cards will fit into standard envelopes for a 6" square card, I would make a Box to give them in. You can find another Video showing you how - HERE.

This is the card I created in the Video. This time I used papers from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper pack. The card base is in Real Red.

The Snowmen are just adorable and so easy to colour - I used the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

On the back is a panel to write your message.

Measurements

Note: Either follow the Imperial Measurements (inches) OR the Metric Measurements – don’t mix them.

 

Real Red                                         25.25cm x 15.25cm     (10” x 6”)

 

With the SHORT side across the TOP of the TRIMMER:

 

Line a SIDE EDGE up at 2.5cm (1”) and CUT from 4cm to 17.5cm (1½” to 7”)

REPEAT for the other SIDE

 

 

With the LONG side across the TOP and the 4cm (1½”) section on the LEFT SIDE:

 

1. SCORE between the CUT LINES i.e. 2.5cm to 12.7cm (1” to 5”) at: 

 

4cm (1½”), 6.5cm (2½”) and 17.5cm (7”)

 

2. SCORE from the TOP edge to the CUT LINE and the BOTTOM edge up to the CUT LINE at:

10cm (4”)

 

3. SCORE all the way down at:

15cm (6”)

 

 

Mats

 

Heartwarming Hugs DSP1 - Front           14.8cm x 9.6cm  (5⅞” x 3⅞”)

Heartwarming Hugs DSP1 - Inside          14.8cm x 9.8cm  (5⅞” x 3⅞”)

Heartwarming Hugs DSP – Centre          9.8cm x 8.1cm    (3⅞” x 3⅜”)

Heartwarming Hugs DSP2 – Sides x2    9.8cm x 2.1cm    (3⅞” x ⅞”)

Heartwarming Hugs DSP2 – x2                 4.6cm x 2.1cm    (1⅞” x ⅞”)

Mossy Meadow                                                   9.8cm x 8.1cm    (3⅞” x 3⅜”)

Whisper White                                                    9.5cm x 7.8cm    (3¾” x 3¼”)

 

To CUT the FRONT mat:

 

With the LONG side across the TOP…

 

Line the LEFT side edge up at 2.1cm (⅞”) and CUT to 6cm (2½”)

Line the RIGHT side edge up at 2.1cm (⅞”) and CUT to 6cm (2½”)

 

Turn the mat so the SHORT side is across the TOP and the CUTS are open to the LEFT…

 

Line the LEFT side edge up at 6cm (2½”) and CUT between the cut lines i.e. 2.1cm to 12.7cm (⅞” to 5”)

 

 

To CUT the INSIDE mat:

 

With the LONG side across the TOP…

 

Line the LEFT side edge up at 2.1cm (⅞”) and CUT to 2.5cm (1”)

Line the RIGHT side edge up at 2.1cm (⅞”) and CUT to 2.5cm (1”)

 

Turn the mat so the SHORT side is across the TOP and the CUTS are open to the LEFT…

 

Line the LEFT side edge up at 2.5cm (1”) and CUT between the cut lines i.e. 2.1cm to 12.7cm (⅞” to 5”)

 

 

You will need extra Whisper White and Mossy Meadow card to complete the project.
