A Touch Of Ink - Quick and Simple Cards - Video Tutorial

Good Morning :o)

Today's cards were created using the A Touch of Ink stamp set. This was one of the sets that you could get for FREE with a qualifying purchase during our recent Sale-a-Bration promotion. This promotion has now ended so it is no longer available BUT you may have already got this set.

Sadly due to BREXIT many orders coming into the UK at the beginning of January were delayed for several weeks - things are now sorted and most deliveries are pretty much back to normal, but this did mean that I have only recently received my set. So I thought even though the promotion has now finished I will show you what I've created and maybe it will inspire you a little to use your own set :o)

Today's cards are very quick and simple to create. They are mostly stamped on one level. I added a little dimension with the Humming Bird and Butterfly by stamping and cutting out a second one and adding it over the first using glue and dimensionals.

Of course, the second one is completely optional, the cards look lovely even without this addition.

These first two cards use all the same colours - I just switched the colours used for the Flowers and Bird/Butterfly for the second card.

The colours are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz.

If you have many cards to create this is a great design to use, it definitely lends itself to a little 'production line' creating.

I kept the colours the same again for my third and fourth cards. They are Magenta Madness, Melon Mambo, Bumblebee, Mango Melody, Just Jade and Granny Apple Green.

The stamp set is photopolymer and a Two Step set. This means that multiple stamps (two in this case) make up some or all of the images. There are outline stamps for the Flowers, Leaves, Butterfly and Humming Bird and other stamps to use to fill in the colour. The 'colouring' isn't precise either and I absolutely love this effect.

The stamp set contains a great choice of sentiments too - I chose to create Thank You cards, but any of the sentiments would have worked just as well.

This is the card I created in the Video. I used the same colours as my previous two cards - I really like the Magenta Madness with this design. It's such a bright pink, but isn't too overwhelming here - I'm still a little afraid of it!!! :o)

Here is the Video ...
