Hey Chick - Birthday Card - Video Tutorial

Today I'm sharing another scene card. I really love creating these :o)

I used both the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick stamp sets and their coordinating die sets.

The Birds are from the Beautiful Moments stamp set, but you could use any you have - we have several sets with different Birds in them.

I used our new Blending Brushes to create the background. It was very simple for this first card - just using Seaside Spray and Sahara Sand ink.

The Hen Hut was die cut from Sahara Sand card and I coloured areas of it using the Stampin' Blends.

I changed the background for the card I created in the Video. This time I used my Clouds stencil for the sky. I also used the sprinkle stamp from the Friends Are Like Seashells set all over the foreground.

I die cut the Hen Hut from both Real Red and Soft Suede card and then cut pieces from the Soft Suede one and added them to the Real Red - I much prefer this effect to the first one.

Measurements

Note: If you use A4 as your standard sheet of card – follow the metric measurements (cms).

If you use 8½” x 11” as your standard sheet of card – follow the imperial measurements (inches).

 

         

Soft Suede card base                                ½ an A4 standard sheet of card

Whisper White (Inside)                           14.4cm x 10cm   (US 5¼” x 4”) 

Real Red                                                           14.1cm x 9.8cm  (US 5¼” x 4”) 

Whisper White                                             13.8cm x 9.5cm  (US 5⅛” x 3⅞”)

 

 

You will need extra Whisper White, Real Red and Soft Suede card to complete the project.
