Sweet As A Peach - with the Plenty of Patterns Masks - Video Tutorial

It's been ages since I played with our Embossing Paste ... so for today's cards I decided to dig out our Shimmery White Embossing Paste.

This paste has beautiful iridescent glitter in it, so it will add a lovely sparkle to your projects.

I used one of the stencils from the Plenty of Patterns Decorative Mask set. You get 4 different stencils in the pack and the one I used has 4 different motifs on it - I used a different one for each card.

You can find the Video below showing you how I created them.

I used Daffodil Delight for this first card, mixing a drop or two of re-inker in with the embossing paste.

The sentiment comes from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set.

I changed up the design for these next three cards by embossing the Basic White panel with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder before adding the paste.

The colour used here is Gorgeous Grape.

And ... can you spot the boo boo on this card? :o)

I didn't centre the motif on the white panel! I admit this was the card I struggled with. The paste kept seeping underneath the stencil. I think this was because the paste became too 'sloppy' when I added the re-inker drops - I had to add quite a few to get the colour I wanted and this made the paste too loose.

To get around this, all you need to do is leave the paste to set slightly for a while. I left mine for about 30 minutes so it became much more firm. This helps the paste stay put when you spread it over the stencil. The time to leave it is a bit of a guesstimate as it depends on how 'sloppy' the paste is to start with.

The colour used is Poppy Parade.

Here is the card I created in the Video. I used Pacific Point this time.

I chose colours from the Brights Collection for all these cards and the paper is from the Brights 6" Designer Series Paper pack. The designs used are now retired but we still have the packs - with new designs.
