Stampin Friends Blog Hop - Say It With Sentiments

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop for September!

This month's theme is 'Say It With Sentiments'.

Now ... I am not a sentiment girl. I don't like too fancy a font and I definitely do not like verses or really 'flowery' sentiments. Give me simple sentiments in a beautiful, simple font and I am happy :o) Our sentiments should be the focal point of our projects, but I've cheated because mine aren't really - but they do stand out :o)

If you are following along with the Hop, you may have arrived from Jean's Blog.

Be sure to read through my post, comment below and then continue on to Maureen's Blog.

If you get lost along the way, you can find a full list of all the participants at the end of each of their Blog Posts.

Here are my projects for this month's Hop ...

I created a Card Holder to hold 4 to 6 cards with envelopes. I also created 4 cards to go inside it. The sizes given for the Card Holder are for both A2 and A6 cards.

I used the Sweet As A Peach stamp set together with the coordinating Peach dies.

The paper is all from the You're A Peach Designer Series Paper pack ... another of my current favourites :o)

You can find a Video Tutorial for the Card Holder below.

The papers in the pack are all beautiful. I love the Balmy Blue against the Calypso Coral.

The White Scalloped mat was created using one of the Scalloped Contour dies.

I used one of the Basic Border dies to create the fancy edge on the bottom of the front of the Holder, but you could use the border die in the Scalloped Contour set or any other you have for this.

The design is very simple. There is a pocket inside to hold all the cards and envelopes. I used a magnetic closure, but velcro would work just as well.

The cards are also a very simple layout. Each of the White mats was embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D folder to add texture.

A different design of the paper was used on each card, but I kept the colours to 2 Balmy Blue and 2 Calypso Coral.

There is a different sentiment on each card. These are perfect for me. They are simple and the font is beautiful.

I used mainly the coordinating Peach dies for this one.

Here is the Video ...
