Stampin Friends Blog Hop - Celebrate The Season

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop for November! This will be the last Blog Hop for this current year!

This month's theme is 'Celebrate The Season'.

If you are following along with the Hop, you may have arrived from  Tiziana's Blog.

Be sure to read through my post, comment below and then continue on to Barb's Blog.

If you get lost along the way, you can find a full list of all the participants at the end of each of their Blog Posts.

Here are the projects I created for this month's Hop ...

These are special fancy fold cards and card boxes to hold them.

I used the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set and coordinating Stockings dies, together with papers from the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper pack.

You can find a Video Tutorial below for the card. If you are interested in creating a Box to hold it, you will be able to find a Video Tutorial for that in my next post :o)

The cards have little stands on the back so they can be displayed on a mantel :o)

They are Double Slider cards. So as you pull the ribbon, extra panels gradually appear above and below the front of the card.

This is the card I created in the Video. Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party is one of my all time favourite colour combinations - especially for Christmas.

The Cat and Dogs heads and the Gift Boxes were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

The Stockings were die cut from the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper.

I have made several of these cards in the past - but not with the stand on the back. If you would like to see some more samples, you will find them HERE, HERE and HERE.

Here is the Video ...

Measurements

Cherry Cobbler– Base Card                 A4 Length x 14cm        (11½” x 5½”)

With the LONG side across the TOP, score down at:

9.3cm, 18.8cm and 28.3cm   (3⅝”, 7” and 11”)

Note: Use EITHER the metric measurements or the imperial measurements for the Mats – Don’t Mix!

Panels:

Cherry Cobbler x2                                   14cm x 9cm                   (5½” x 3½”)

Pool Party x2                                               13.7cm x 8.7cm           (5” x 3”)

Sweet Stockings DSP                              13.4cm x 8.4cm           (5¼” x 3¼”)

Basic White                                                  13.4cm x 8.4cm           (5¼” x 3¼”)

Front:

Pool Party                                                       13.5cm x 9cm              (5¼” x 3½”)

Sweet Stockings DSP                               13.2cm x 8.7cm          (5” x 3”)

Cherry Cobbler                                           10.4cm x 7cm              (4” x 2¾”)

Cherry Cobbler – Back Stand              5cm x 5cm                    (2” x 2”)

Score on one side at                                   4cm                                  (1½”)

Ribbon approx.                                              7.5cm                             (3”)

The Plastic Strip needs to be long enough to wrap around the card with about a 1" overlap. The one I used for this card was 1½" wide. The width needs to be just a little less that the width of the 'channel' you have created for it to sit in.

You will need additional Basic White card to complete the project.
